Yesterday at Hope Musical Theater summer camp, our homework was to bring in a fact about the musical “The Sound of Music” or the real Von Trap family. I had to listen to the soundtracks of “The Sound of Music” and “Sister Act”. <\/p>\n

 For my facts I wrote: The musical’s original title was “The Singing Heart”. Also, original audience members were totally convinced that “Edelweiss” was an actual Austrian folk song. Kym Karath, who played little Gretl, was already a film vet when she auditioned for the Sound of Music.
