Here are a few of them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Claire celebrated her third, fourth and today her fifth birth &#8220;days&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>We did the first of many loads of her laundry<\/li>\n<li>Claire had her first visit to our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pamf.org\/paloalto\/\">clinic<\/a> and her first appointment with her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pamf.org\/providersearch\/?sitecfg=41&#038;action=providerdetail&#038;masterid=6930&#038;isLevelOne=1\">pediatrician<\/a> (she gained weight since leaving the hospital and showed good progress with her jaundice)<\/li>\n<li>We purchased our first item of baby gear following her birth. Despite having at least 30 bottles around the house, we did not have the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.handi-craft.com\/products\/bottles.htm\">specific bottle<\/a> we absolutely had to have. Needless to say, the only nearby place to purchase it was a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dayonecenter.com\/\">swanky store<\/a> not known for discounting.<\/li>\n<li>We also made our first repeat purchase of a $50+ baby item that we already owned. We had managed to lose one critical piece which, of course, is not sold separately.<\/li>\n<li>We met with a lactation consultant who had some great tips<\/li>\n<li>Claire visited her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tandcvillage.com\/\">first mall<\/a> and napped while her parents had their first remotely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jambajuice.com\/\">healthy meal<\/a> since she was born<\/li>\n<li>We experienced our first diaper explosion<\/li>\n<li>Katherine and I were asked for parenting advice from friends of ours who are pregnant with their first child.
