We spent a long weekend just before Thanksgiving up near Yosemite National Park<\/a> at a rustic spot called the Evergreen Lodge<\/a>. With no telephones, no television, hardly any internet access, and family activities including a kids’ recreation room, it was a great break. We went on hikes each day, including seeing the fall foliage<\/a> and having a picnic alongside Hetch Hetchy Reservoir<\/a> in Yosemite,\u00a0which is the source of much of the Bay Area’s drinking water. \u00a0Juliet experienced snow for the first time, and Claire threw her first snowball, on our hike down to the\u00a0Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias<\/a>.
