{"id":81,"date":"2007-09-20T08:26:18","date_gmt":"2007-09-20T15:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/westfamilyblog.com\/?p=81"},"modified":"2011-11-13T22:43:20","modified_gmt":"2011-11-14T06:43:20","slug":"tahoe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westfamilyblog.com\/?p=81","title":{"rendered":"Tahoe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Claire had her first overnight trip last weekend as we headed up to Lake Tahoe to rent a house for a few days of drinking in the mountain air at 6,800 feet, relaxing by the lake, gazing at the fabulous scenery, and sampling the local cuisine for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.solylago.com\/\">tapas<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tahoeblueagave.com\/\">Mexican<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/search.yahoo.com\/search;_ylt=A0geu5DnCPJGyFwBhGhXNyoA?p=front+street+station+pizza%2C+%22tahoe+city%22&amp;y=Search&amp;fr=moz2\">pizza<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunnysideresort.com\/\">lake-side views<\/a>, and even <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tahoesbest.com\/Restaurants\/fire_sign_cafe.htm\">healthy breakfasts<\/a>.  Claire seemed quite content during the four hour drives there and back, enjoyed her makeshift bathtub (see photos), and slept as well as she does at home (including naps in the sizable walk-in closet off our bedroom). Katherine and I had fun <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tahoerimtrail.org\/\">mountain biking and trail running<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laketahoeparkassociation.com\/tahoepark.htm\">swimming in the lake<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?f=d&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=1890254116587791208,39.236375,-120.032587%3B13561703952964891251,39.308269,-120.203476&amp;saddr=tahoe+city,+ca&amp;daddr=CA-28+%4039.238080,+-120.032310+to:CA-89+%4039.309720,+-120.205540+to:300+eastview,+tahoe+city,+ca&amp;sll=39.307738,-120.219612&amp;sspn=0.062693,0.11673&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;z=11&amp;om=1\">road biking<\/a>.  Aside from a surprisingly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.south-shore.subaru.com\/en_US\/\">easy to fix<\/a> mishap involving a bicycle, a roof rack, and an overhead garage door, everything went perfectly.
